Unusual vintage Rolex model in a boy sized case. This Rolex Oyster Royal, carries a reference number of 6444.
The all original dial has some patina aging on the very outer edges at the top section of the dial, however this is not
readily visible and certainly not distracting. You will also note the original Rolex Alpha shaped hands are still fitted and complement the vintage look of this watch.
The watch dates to the 4th quarter of 1957 based on the serial number and the date code stamping inside the case.
The famed 17 jewel shock proof Rolex calibre 1210 movement is fitted in the watch. This movement is considered one of the most durable ever made and is
descended from the legendary 101/2 Hunter movements Rolex used during the Second World War.
The stainless steel Oyster case is very good condition and measures 32 mm wide by 38 mm long. I do not come across many of the Oyster Royals in a 32 mm case.
The watch can be supplied on your choice of black or brown straps.
