A vintage Omega watch in solid 14K gold.
A bit smaller than the full sized models, this watch has a more understated and elegant appearance on the wrist. The more narrow lugs and refined bezel add to the charm of this watch.
The all-original white dial signed Omega Automatic; with the now iconic Explorer style 3,6 and 12 Arabic numerals at the hour quadrants expect the lower point where a large sub-seconds register occupies the spot where the 6 o¢??clock marker would normally sit. There are some light marks on the dial which are not distracting and add to the vintage appearance of the watch.
The solid gold case is signed ¢??Wadsworth¢?? as this was a US cased model. The Omega 17 jewel automatic movement was the first series of bumper automatic movement produced by Omega and is the model 28.10 RA PC. The serial number in the 11 million range dates the watch to 1947. The watch was recently serviced by my watchmaker and is keeping great time.
The case measures 33 mm wide by 38 mm long and is supplied on a black leather strap.
